Ignacio San Martin (Architecture, Metropolitan Design Center) is profiled in the January/February 2010 issue of Architecture Minnesota. "Our challenge is to search for a more sustainable lifestyle -- a quality of life that flows from living smarter, using fewer resources and disposing of less waste, and relying less on acquiring personal wealth in exchange for a more satisfactory collective and planetary well-being," San Martin tells Christopher Hudson in his article, "City Scientist." "Our combined efforts to achieve these goals can transform the Twin Cities into a landscape that is best suited to the aspirations of our society."
Also featured in the issue are two articles by Nancy Miller (Architecture). "Street Seen" is an overview of the Minneapolis Community & Technical College's new Science Center and "Main Street Mix" is a profile of the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point student center.
