John Comazzi (Architecture), Adam Jarvi (MArch, 2009), architecture graduate student Kristen Murray, and Wendy Friedmeyer, former Design Institute education coordinator, organized and managed family and children programming for the Walker Art Center's Free First Saturday, a part of its Raising Creative Kids initiative. The program involved various workshops that engaged children and adults in design activities throughout the Walker's public spaces. Comazzi wrote a guest article about the program, "Designing Play: If Bucky Fuller and Willy Wonka had collaborated," for the Walker Web site.
