Karen LaBat's (Apparel Design; Human Dimensioning Laboratory) DHA 4215 Product Development: Softlines students -- from both the Apparel Design and Retail Merchandising programs -- will pitch their product line concepts to designers and merchandisers at Target on April 27, 2010. Working in teams of five, the students are developing new ideas for cross-merchandising and cross-divisional merchandise for the retailer after having met with Michael Alexin, Target's vice president for product design and development. Graduate student Gozde Goncu is the teaching assistant for the course.
