Architecture undergraduate Woody Hanson has been awarded a Fulbright Scholarship and will spend the next academic year in Cyprus working on a research project studying the history of architecture and urban planning in Nicosia, Europe's last divided capital. Hanson will be hosted and supported by the Cyprus Institute. In the summer of 2009, he received a Metropolitan Design Center (MDC) scholarship for his self-directed research project, "Building a Bi-Communal Bridge: Nicosia, Cyprus." His summer research was also supported by an Undergraduate Research Opportunities (UROP) scholarship.
