The Minneapolis Parks Foundation, the College of Design's Metropolitan Design Center and Department of Landscape Architecture, and the Walker Art Center are co-sponsoring "The next generation of parks," a series of lectures on parks planning and design. All of the lectures are free and open to the public.
The first lecture in the series took place on Thursday, May 13, 2010. Jamie Dean, program manager of the East London Green Grid lectured on London's Green Grid.
The next lecture is scheduled for Wednesday, June 16, 2010, 7 p.m., Cinema, Walker Art Center. Robert Hammond, co-founder and executive director of Friends of the High Line and Lisa Tziona Switkin, associate principal, James Corner Field Operations will lecture on New York's High Line.
