Landscape Architecture faculty members present at 2009-10 CELA conference

Five faculty members of the college's Department of Landscape Architecture presented at the annual Council of Educators in Landscape Architecture (CELA) conference; Landscape Legacy: Landscape Architecture Between Art and Science, May 12-14 2010, Maastricht, The Netherlands.

Laura Musacchio (Landscape Architecture) presented "Diversifying the American Corn Belt with Alternative Land Covers and Land Uses for Ecosystem Services and Green Infrastructure" as well as a session on "Translational Landscape Research and Practice as a Pedagogical Model for Design Studios."

Kristine Miller (Landscape Architecture) presented, "Gertrude Jekyll and the King Edward VII Sanatorium."

Lance Neckar, David Pitt, and Vince deBritto (all Landscape Architecture) presented a panel, "Critical Issues in the Advancement of Landscape Architecture: Scholarship and Practice."
