Goldstein receives IMLS grant for Smart House

The Goldstein Museum of Design received a $104,314 Museums for America grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS). The grant will support the Goldstein's Spring 2011 exhibition "Smart House, Livable Community, Your Future" which will explore independent living for seniors. The exhibition will provide innovative designs for housing technology, adaptive technologies within the home, and community design that can enable older adults to live independently and integrated into the larger community.

IMLS grants are awarded to support high-priority activities that advance the missions and strategic goals of museums, helping them to serve the public more effectively. The Goldstein is one of five museums in the state of Minnesota to receive a grant from IMLS.
