The College of Design is co-sponsoring a Sustainable Communities Interdisciplinary Lecture on Tuesday, September 28, 2010 featuring Germany's "grandfather of green building," Joachim Eble of Joachim Eble-Architektur. The lecture highlights Eble's experience in sustainable, "healthy" design and eco-city projects throughout Europe and Asia. The event will open with a brief summary of the the vision for a sustainable, University-founded community at UMore Park. Following Eble's lecture, a reactor panel, including Dean Tom Fisher (Architecture), will share their expertise and perspectives on economic, environmental and social sustainability.
The lecture will be held on Tuesday, September 28, 2010, 3:30-5:00 p.m. at the 3M Auditorium in the Carlson School of Management. A light reception will follow the lecture in the Carlson School of Management Atrium.
