The Goldstein Museum of Design is one of 11 university museums to host the traveling exhibition of winning entries from the Odegard Award for Excellence in Rug Design competition. The exhibition includes 11 designs and will be on display in the Goldstein's foyer from September 11-19, 2010.
Addressed exclusively to university and college students in the field of the arts, the Odegard Award for Excellence in Rug Design acknowledges the outstanding achievement in the field of original student rug design. The competition was created to show student designers how combining modern designs with traditional hand knotting techniques can increase awareness and respect for the legacy of textile and carpet weaving.
