Two CDes students nominated as 2010 Homecoming King candidates

College of Design students Eric Olsen, a fourth-year in the Accelerated Environmental Design and Landscape Architecture Program, and Ben VandenWymelenberg, a third-year BS Architecture student, were nominated as 2010 Homecoming King candidates.

Eric.jpg Olsen (left) is an Admissions Team Lead for Admissions Ambassadors on campus as well as a member of the Minnesota Association of Student Landscape Architects. Olsen is honored to be a member of the Homecoming court and is excited to be an advocate and ambassador for the University in any way he can.

VandenWymelenberg (below) is a leader in community home building organizations like Freedom by Design, a group that remodels homes for handicapped and disabled families. He is also involvedBen.jpg in the University Honors Program, the Community Engagement Scholars program, and a member of the Spirit Squad's Co-Ed Cheerleading team. VandenWymelenberg is excited to represent the U and the achieving students and alumni in a leadership position on Homecoming court.

Crowning of the Homecoming royalty will take place during the Homecoming Pep Fest at 8:30 p.m. on Friday, October 1, 2010 at the Gateway Plaza.
