Scrubbed Into Fashion student designers featured on KARE 11 and Twin Cities Live

College of Design students involved in the Scrubbed Into Fashion runway show were featured on KARE 11 on April 9, 2011 and Twin Cities Live on April 14, 2011. The students previewed select designs from their upcoming show scheduled for April 16, 2011 at 7pm in Rapson Hall.

Scrubbed into Fashion is a project runway styled event - brought together by University of Minnesota medical student Phillip Radtke and student group FAB: Fashion & Business - in which student designers from the College of Design have created one couture and one ready to wear garment out of medical scrubs. The designs will be modeled by medical students and judged by a panel of industry professionals. The show will be hosted by apparel designer Chirstopher Straub and interior designer Billie Beson (BS Interior Design, 1998). All proceeds from the event will go to Smile Network International.

The student designers involved in the show include: Jennifer Voth, Sophomore Apparel Design student; Nicholas Ruffalo, Senior Apparel Design student; Laura Henslin, Senior Apparel Design student; Lucie Biros, Sophomore Apparel Design student; Jennifer Krava, 1st year Landscape Architecture graduate student; and Kayla Stycniski, Freshman Pre-Apparel Design student
