A premier screening of "Smart House, Livable Community" will be held in 33 McNeal Hall on April 7, 2011 at 6 pm. The film is a Twin Cities Public Television (tpt) production based on the Goldstein Museum of Design exhibition Smart House, Livable Community, Your Future.
A panel discussion, Q & A session, and reception will follow the screening. Panelists include Helen Q. Kivnick, professor of social work, founding executive director, CitySongs; Lois Cutler, PhD, research associate, Division of Health Policy & Management, School of Public Health, and director of Graduate Studies, gerontology minor; Jodi Riha, exhibition co-curator, masters student in Housing Studies, College of Design; Hlee Lee, program producer, tpt. Brad Hokanson, College of Design associate dean for research and outreach, will facilitate the panel discussion.
The Smart House exhibition will also be open at the Goldstein Museum of Design for guests to try out materials profiled in the program.
