Urban Abendroth (Arch, 1946-1950) passed away on April 24, 2011. Abendroth designed 350 Minnesota school buildings in 31 years as a partner in the St. Louis Park firm Matson, Wegleitner and Abendroth. He specialized in Minnesota public school buildings and was at the forefront for projects in Warroad, Monticello, Big Lake, Osseo, Hibbing, Pipestone and many others.
