Finance & Commerce has selected the University of Minnesota Science Teaching and Student Services (STSS) building for a Top Projects of 2010 award. STSS was designed by Bill Pedersen (BArch, 1961) from the New York-based firm Kohn, Pedersen, Fox Associates (KPF). Dan Avchen's (BArch, 1972) Minneapolis-based firm Hammel, Green and Abrahamson (HGA) was the local architect for the project with McGough Construction as the construction manager.
The winning projects were judged on their degree of difficulty, creativity in design and innovative construction techniques. Each project will be featured in a story and photo spread in Finance & Commerce throughout July and August 2011.
