Everyday Spaces of Healthcare is a new collection of case studies by College of Design architecture Professor William F. Conway, FAIA.
In the book, Professor Conway reviews problems and possibilities facing designers and clients in a select series of contemporary healthcare facilities. His case studies introduce readers to innovative approaches to four familiar territories: gardens, pathways, waiting areas, and retail environments. The research recognizes the benefits that can accrue from attention to them, and presents findings for those in the healthcare design industry.
Conway is also the principal at Conway+Schulte Architects. The project was funded by a research grant from the Thomas Horty Healthcare Design and Build Fund, Conway+Schulte Architects, and the College of Design.
