Over the past year we have shared stories with you about our efforts around the globe to lend expertise and enhance the experiences of our students as they address the basic human need for safe, affordable and accessible housing.
We need your help to extend our initiatives with local Habitat for Humanity projects. We want to give more students the hands-on, real-world experiences that these projects provide. To fully implement our plans for the coming months and finalize initiatives for next year, I have set a goal of raising $10,000 by December 10, 2011.
The College of Design excels at transforming concepts and ideas into tangible products and structures. Simply put, we create positive outcomes for our students and communities. Our architecture students demonstrated this through their leadership in the first Habitat for Humanity Zero-Energy Home. We also have retail merchandising students working with Habitat's ReStores and two of our housing studies faculty are advisors for the University's Student Habitat for Humanity Chapter.
Please show your support of these efforts by making a gift today.
