Beth Loraine Bowman (Housing Studies '08) to Showcase Work at Fox Tax Gallery in NE Minneapolis

Fox Tax 1.jpg A showcase of work by alumna Beth Loraine Bowman (Housing Studies '08) will appear at the Gallery at Fox Tax in NE Minneapolis this December. The group show "ENTANGLEMENT | A Group Exhibition of Collage" will feature local artists who utilize the technique of collage using mediums such as found objects, magazine clippings, trash, and photography. Bowman, who currently serves on the College of Design Student and Alumni Board, has shown her work throughout the United States and Europe, including three solo shows. Her mixed media images, informed by French Post-war Modernist painting (Tachisme/L'Art Informel), have explored the subjects of memory, place, color experience, shelter/architecture, maternity, and forgiveness. ENTAGLEMENT opens on December 17th from 6-9 pm. Artists will be donating works wrapped as gifts sold sight unseen for $100. Proceeds from gift sales will be given to the Children's Cancer Research Fund.
