Marvin Malecha (B Arch '73), Wins F. Carter Williams Gold Medal

Marvin Malecha, FAIA (B Arch '73) and Dean of the College of Design at North Carolina State University has been awarded the F. Carter Williams Gold Medal from AIA North Carolina.

Named in honor of Raleigh architect F. Carter Williams, FAIA, the chapter's Gold Medal is the highest honor presented by AIA North Carolina. It is awarded to an individual in recognition of a distinguished career or extraordinary accomplishments as an architect.

Malecha became dean at NC State in 1994 after 12 years as dean of the College of Environmental Design at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona.
