Linda Mona (BS Home Economics Education '67) Among Girl Scouts Centennial Honorees

5058563542_6877b0282b_z.jpg Linda Mona (BS Home Economics Education '67) currently serves on the College of Design advisory board and is former chair of the University of Minnesota Alumni Association. She has been recognized by the Girl Scouts of Minnesota and Wisconsin River Valleys as a community champion for her long-time contribution to the organization. The award is part of their yearlong centennial celebration.

Mona was a Girl Scout in Eden Prairie where she later became a senior troop leader and board chair of the local Girl Scouts organization. She also helped chaired their 75th Anniversary celebration. The award honors community members who exemplify the culture, values, diversity and spirit of the Girl Scout Movement.

Mona and the other honorees will be recognized at a gala at the Minneapolis Convention Center on April 21, 2012.
