What's Happening Around Interior Design?

What's happening in the interior design program?

Working in teams, seniors in Interior Design Studio VII worked for five weeks last semester developing a 50,000 cubic foot multi-story lobby for a prototypical children's theater. Design practitioners and code officials critiqued their designs. You can view examples of their work on page 6 in the Spring 2012 issue of Emerging.

In December, Caren S. Martin (DHA) and Denise A. Guerin (DHA) met with a panel of local interior designer to discuss their recent book, The State of the Interior Design Profession.

The Interior Design Bachelor of Science program is a professional program that is accredited by the Council for Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA). Interior design students study design fundamentals, theory, process, communication, research, and technology to identify and solve problems related to humans and their use of interior space.
