Patrick Redmond (MA DHA '90) received a Silver Key Teaching Award for excellence in visual arts education at the 2012 Minnesota Scholastic Art Awards (MSAA) ceremony February 26, 2012, hosted by the Minneapolis College of Art and Design.

MSAA is the state affiliate of The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, a premier national competition of New York City-based Alliance for Young Artists & Writers.

Redmond is a creative director, designer, consultant, artist and author. He owns and operates Minnesota-based Patrick Redmond Design, an independent brand identity and design firm. He was included in the April 2012 "People" section of Graphic Design USA.
