David Pitt Named 2012 AICP Fellow

Pitt, David 2.jpgProfessor David Pitt (Landscape Architecture) was inducted into the 2012 College of Fellows of the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) during the organization's annual conference in Los Angeles on April 15, 2012. Fellowship is granted to planners who have been members of AICP and have achieved excellence in professional practice, teaching and mentoring, research, public and community service, and leadership. 

Pitt has published over 100 journal articles, book chapters and symposium proceeding papers in landscape perception and decision support systems for land use planning. He's the recipient of the 2003 Outstanding Educator Award from the Council of Educators in Landscape Architecture (CELA), and received two Merit Awards for his research from the American Society of Landscape Architects. He is currently a co-editor for Landscape Journal, published by the University of Wisconsin Press for CELA.
