Meyer Scherer & Rockcastle (MS&R) Earns Two RAVE Awards


Meyer Scherer & Rockcastle Ltd (MS&R), co-founded by principal Thomas Meyer (B.Arch '74), earned two 2012 RAVE Awards from AIA Minnesota and Mpls.St. Paul Magazine, in recognition of excellence in local residential design for work on two homes: Mount Curve Modern (pictured below) and Crane Island Cabin (pictured above).  The winning projects will be on display at the AIA Minnesota office, and featured in the July 2012 issue of Home, a quarterly publication by Mpls.St. Paul Magazine.


The mission of MS&R is to create exceptional and enduring architecture through a leading, self-renewing practice. Meyer is known nationally for his work with historic preservation and the Mill City Museum complex. He was elected into the AIA College of Fellows in 2006 and is past president of AIA Minnesota. His career is threaded with a strong interest in the correlation between old and new that has resulted in work with historic district planning, building rehabilitation and restoration, adaptive reuse projects, new construction in historic districts, and museum and interpretive center design. He was elected into the AIA College of Fellows in 2006.
