A video created by MFA student Ellen Schofield in Associate Professor Sauman Chu's animation course (GDES 5383) won the Teaching/Instruction Category of the 2012 Entomological Society of America (ESA) "YouTube Your Entomology" contest. The class was a partnership with Department of Entomology Professor David Andow who was looking for a creative way, through video and animation, to address the issue of invasive species.

This is a great creative video! It would be useful tool to spark kids’ interest in the invasive species subject area!
