2013 AIA-MN Awards: Cuningham Group & Architectural Alliance
2013 AIA Minnesota Firm Award

Given biennially, this prestigious award recognizes firms that have contributed to the advancement of the profession in the areas of technology, service, and design. "Our goal is to always work side-by-side with our clients and to discover the best creative solutions for their opportunities and challenges together," said John Cuningham (B.Arch '62), Cuningham Group Founder, when summarizing the history and focus of the firm.

Current regional projects include: a new high school in Alexandria, Minnesota; Minneapolis
Community and Technology College
, in Minneapolis; and the Epic Corporate Campus in Verona, Wisconsin.

2013 AIA Minnesota 25-Year Award Recipient

Screen Shot 2013-09-04 at 2.43.22 PM.pngAIA Minneapolis selected the Land O' Lakes Corporate Headquarters, designed by Architectural Alliance, as the recipient of the 2013 AIA Minnesota 25-Year Award. The award recognizes completed building projects, either individual buildings or groups of buildings, completed at least 25 but not more than 50 years ago. The projects must have been designed by firms with architects registered and practicing professionally in Minnesota.

Project team members included John Lackens (B.A. Arch '56, B.Arch '58).

Cuningham Group and Architectural Alliance will be honored at the AIA Minnesota Awards Celebration on December 6, 2013, at McNamara Alumni Center, University of Minnesota, Minneapolis.
