About the zompire dracularius SEO Competition
One of the projects for Dan Grigsby's MGMT 3010 course on Entrepreneurship at the University of Minnesota is to setup up to three sites dedicated to the search phrase "zompire dracularius". Each student is then to promote the site for the remainder of the semester in anyway he or she sees fit. There will be additional points awarded if the persons site is given a Google Pagerank of one or higher.
There aren't many rules in the interest of keeping all options on the table. However, points will be deducted for negative feedback and/or publicity. Please report any such feedback to Dan Grigsby via his blog.
The content of this site is rather boring in nature! But since Google seems to like content, it is a necessary evil. I wouldn't recomend reading the remaining information as it is really just a false rambling on the words dracularius and zompire. The search phrase can be entered with either term first in the Google Search Engine. Most people will type in, "zompire dracularius" though since that is the name of the competition.
This rant really has nothing of virtue other than to promote this site and others related to the competition. It is worthless to the average reader and should probably be ignored. The search bot on the other hand, should enjoy the random musings that are contained within this page.
Important Dates
- Competition Start: October, 2009
- Competition End: December, 2009
Web SEO Tactics
- Register a .org address as they seem to have more weight than a .com
- Get up a decent amount of content before the masses in the class
- Gather as many willing parties to link to this site
Alas, your rant is well-founded. How are we to perform the standard best practice SEO of creating valid content that gets links on it's own merit when the topic has no intrinsic value? Google will surely enjoy your placement of the phrase
