Instructional design can seem like a mysterious thing, a function that faculty don’t quite see a need for--until they’ve actually worked with an instructional designer and come to fully appreciate the value of instructional design. Developing effective online modules means combining faculty expertise with the expertise of an instructional designer who knows how to analyze content, structure that content, and visually deliver it to students.
