UMD LSBE Study-in-China 2009

The first thing I am interested in learning/seeing is how different companies convert their products name, slogan, or trademark into Chinese. I have learned about a few cases throughout my marketing course that companies can have disastrous results if things are not converted and translated correctly.
I am also interested in seeing how the one child law affects kids my own age. How do they feel being an only child (in most cases)? I only have one sibling but I know of people who have 4-6 kids in their family and it would just be interesting to see the differences.
Lastly I am curious to see how intense the formality in China really is. I have always learned that the Chinese are far more formal and the power distances are much more distinct. It will be interesting to see how Chinese education system differs from the US in terms of formality.
