Three learning objectives
Hello everyone. My name is Shane Jopke. I am in the MBA program at UMD and very excited to be going to China as an elective! Less than a week to go!
I work at US Bank in Duluth as a Branch Manager. Therefore, I am interested in learning the similarities and differences of the US and Chinese banking systems.
I am also curious to see the general business climate in China. It will be very interesting to go on the corporate visits while we are over there. China is a strong global player in the world economy and will only become stronger in the decades to come.
Lastly, I look forward to a better understanding of Chinese culture. I am pretty 'green" when it comes to world travel. I have never even been to Canada! China...what a great place to start my travels. I cannot wait to experience Chinese customs, culture, and most of all FOOD!!!!
