Olivia Borgess-Nunez--Freelance Journalist

My career as a journalist has brought me around the world reporting on the exchange of ideas between various groups large and small. Not wanting to be chained down to the editorial demands of one publication, I work mostly as a freelance writer for a variety of outlets. Some of my recent work has been published in The New York Times, London Globe, and most recently The Pioneer Press.

The issues that catch my eye often involve the interaction of smaller groups forging an identity when in confrontation with larger groups. Fashioning myself after the original muckrakers of the early twentieth century, I often position myself as the voice of the underdog.

The information that has been released is miniscule, but what is coming from the feds, is that indeed the presidents daughter was killed in an automotive accident. The suspect ran a red light going over 70mph and t-boned the victim on the driver's side. She died on impact.

I would just like to point out the fact that this was an alcohol related accident. The suspect had a BAC of well over the legal limit and was not paying attention. This is what happens when people drink. AWKE is going to create a memorial event for the President's daughter in wake of said events.

I'll give more when I have more.

i can't really say much about what is happening in North Korea except for what has been released in the media already. A great site that explains how we've gotten to this point is http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/asia-pacific/country_profiles/1132268.stm
A side from that i'm afraid that i can't offer much sorry.

I first want to give my condolences to the President and his wife during this hard and unfortunate time. A tragedy that should of never occurred and happened because of an irresponsible person. My heart goes out to the President’s family and I pray for their daughter.
I understand that a 24 pack of my beer was found in the possession of the minor. I do want to say that my company and also me personally am against selling to minors. We have been in support for the advances in ID checks for everyone. However, we only sell to the retailers and it is their duty to make sure my product is not sold to minors.

I just returned from a conference overseas and heard about this terrible news on the flight back home. I want to offer my most sincere condolences to President Starner and his family. I hope we can overcome party lines to offer the support the Starner family needs to begin the healing process.
I also think Senator Rothgard should be ashamed of using this as an oppurtunity to further his bill, an absolutely absurd bill that only serves to further alienate the public and increase lack of confidence and compassion within Congress.
-Senator Victor Eremita

Dear Olivia Borgess-Nunez,
I would be more than happy to share my past experiences related with minors and drinking. My family has been greatly impacted by minors who consume alcohol and then choose to drive. My sister Krista was killed by a drunk driver when she was only 27 years old and pregnant with her second child. Her husband was left to raise a 2 year old little boy all by himself. The student that killed my sister was a an 19 year old named Mike Vacanti from Jefferson Xavier High School. He had a fractured femur but otherwise walked out of the crash in little pain. Mike is known to be a host of underage parties in the past, and also believes that he is a "superstar"! Students, like Mike, have a tendency to be very nieve. They think they are mature and grown up until they mess up and make a mistake. My family has never been the same since the crash and it's still very hard accepting the fact that she's gone. On my family behalfs in order to protect loved ones from other families, we are standing firmly against having the drinking age remain at the age of 21 for the previous reasons stated. I know Mike is currently in denial of his actions, but I think it may be a good idea to contact him and obtain further information for your story. Feel free to ask me other questions if they arise. I hope this helps!
Sincerely,
The Parent

Olivia,
I received a posting from Jack Ranger editor in chief, but I don't know who that is so i don't know who to reply too. Senator Haukos

Dear Olivia Borgess-Nunez,

As a journalist, I am sure that it is your goal to present the most accurate information possible. However, I find it hard to trust what you write, as you can not even get the names of our senators correct. The Senator's name is Eremita not Emeratis as you have posted in your announcement of the upcoming election. Please be more careful when presenting your information from now on. However, seeing as you are a media outlet, i thought it would be good to give you some facts that I have on the harmful effects of underage drinking in the hopes that you will (correctly) publish them in one of your upcoming pieces. The main reason that drinking is so much worse for someone under the age of 21 is that the brain continues to develop into a person's early twenties. Exposure to alcohol during the brain's development is quite harmful and can have irreversible effects on the intellectual capabilities of the individual consuming the alcohol. Although drinking excessively at any age is harmful, it is especially harmful to young people, not only because it causes more damage to the brain than it does at an older age, but also because it forms bad habits that continue into old age that could cause further health problems. Alcohol is also the leading cause of death for people under the age of 21. Every year, almost 2000 people under the age of 21 die in car accidents involving underage drinking. Among college students under the age of 21 alone, 50,000 experience alcohol-related date rape, and 430,000 have been asaulted by another student who has been drinking. If published, hopefully these facts will show people how harmful it would be to our nation if the legal drinking age was lowered to 18.

Sincerely,
Dr. Deale
