I'da see why we gotta change things when there good the way t think we need to keep it the same. I suppose y'all could change things.I mean, who says essays gotta have 5 paragraphs anyway? But we learnd this way an were doin good. That's it.

Lester

I would like to say that creative writing and all writing requires a certain amount of orghanization

Patty Pink

I'm a student at Hibbingo High School. As a cheerleader and homecoming queen, I want to represent the needs of all of students at Hibbingo, especially the populars. I think we should stick with the FPF because it prepares us for the real world outside of high school.

Holly Gol lightly

I have been an English teacher for twleve years in this district, and all of my children have gone through this district. I am very well known by all of the parents, teachers and administrators in this district and beyond. I have been on the board for twelve years, and people always follow my lead.

Ms. Goldie Gopher, MEDIA 2

I am keeping track of all the events regarding the five paragraph essay.

Mrs. Tess Healy

I am a parent of a student at Hibbingo High School. He is a very creative student and can best express himself in nontraditional ways. I support the multi-genre paper and think that the five-paragraph essay form does not suit my son's style. My husband, Dan Healy, agrees with me.

Mr. Gus Van Savant

I'm a parent of a student at Hibbingo High School. I believe my son, Adam, needs to learn the fpt in his classes.

Mr. Michael McMillan

I am a spokeperson for the No Child Left Behind act. I am here to remind the Hibbingo school board of their federal obligations and advocate for those educational practices that will help schools meet their NCLB requirements, such as teaching the five-paragraph essay form.

Ms. Yoma Aho, School Board Member

I am Yoma Aho, longtime member of the schoolboard. I achieved this position through unsavory methods, and have since made this school district my own playground. "Do what I say, and you might get your way. Cross my path and watch your ass" is my motto.

Mr. Russell Leaves, parent

I'da see why we gotta change things when there good the way t think we need to keep it the same. I suppose y'all could change things.I mean, who says essays gotta have 5 paragraphs anyway? But we learnd this way an were doin good. That's it.

Prof. D. Bagge

I am a college writing history instructor at Harvard University. I pride myself in inventing useless yet empowering acronyms, as well as speaking down to dense graduate students. Cross me and I will pencil whip you.

Sven Scalagrimson, Ph.D.

Dr. Scalagrimson is an administrator for the College Board. He has been a member of this organization for 40 years. Sven comes to the College Board after serving as Chancellor of the Main Board of Regents from January 1, 1998 to May 19, 2006. After his resignation, the Regents bestowed Dr. Scalagrimson with the title Chancellor Emeritus in recognition of his distinguished service as Chancellor.

Mr. Healey (parent and satisfied husband)

I am a proud parent in support of the multigenre papers. My son takes after her mother, and is free spirited and expressive. I see the 5 paragraph as too formulaic and rigid to be taken any further than a mere 5 paragraph paper.

Ms. Penny Shiney

I am a Language Arts teacher at Hibbingo High. I have been teaching LA for the past 5 years.

Willa Votesformoney

I'm a member of of the school board and have been for 3, 4-year terms (that's 12 years for you English majors). I just want to do what's best for the upper middle class.

Miss Janet

I am a Language Arts teacher at Park High School, and I hate the FTP because I believe it promotes the mistaken notion that there is only one right answer when it comes to good English, and thus will force language instruction to revert to simplistic, one-size-fits-all grammar drills.

Suzie, Student Against

I’m a student in 11th grade. I have been exposed to the FPE since 8th grade. While I enjoy the form and structure that the FPE provided me in the beginning I am burnt out on it now. I get A’s in English class and am ready for a new challenge.

Jon Lehrer, Media Consultant

I bring to the media realm the best of both worlds. Comedy and Public Television. Not like bad british Public TV comedy... think daily show with no commercials.

Tara Tempura, student

My name is Tara Tempura and I am an eleventh grade student in the Hibbingo school district. I am an average student and enjoy going to high school. I think that the schools should keep the five paragraph essay format because it is easy to understand and use.

Will "I Am" Shakesquare-local representative for endowment for the arts

As the local representative for the endowment of the arts, I have had plenty of time making sure that arts get their fair shake in the sphere of education. I feel that the five part essay can be a very interesting aspect to the English field. Does writing need to be regulated, or should pure creativity prevail. Is there art without structure? This is an issue that my peers and I have argued at length while drinking our chai tea and eating our crumpets. I am of a castable age (not quite Dawson's Creek matterial anymore, but could be a murderer on CSI). I am very curious to see all sides before coming to my ultimate conclusion.

Dr. Mary Mitosis - Microbiology Professor Hibbingo State University

I am the Microbiology department chair at Hibbingo State University. I have worked at the university for twenty five years.

Joey Jo Jo Junior Shabadoo-- Media Representative

I am a news cameraman for Fox 9 news. I am fair and Balanced.

Dr. Ewe Nonutin ,College Dean at THE University of Buck

I am a dean at the local university, THE University of Buck. I have the final say if kids get into this institution. Listen to what I have to say.

Mr. Lester Robinson: a creative writing teacher

I am concerned about the thought of decreasing the emphasis on five paragraph essay. I believe that it is an essential gateway tool into writing. I hope we leave it as is.

Ashbashnish Nektarquar: School Superintendent

This is my 3rd year in the Hibbingo School District after replacing the former superintendent (who was removed after scandalous criminal charges). I was formerly the superintendent in a large urban, district where the FPT was the sole form of writing taught - with varied results. I am deeply invested in the future of this district and feel its success rests on the evaluation and possible reform of the writing program in the Hibbingo District.

Kari- A Team Ad Agency

I represent the A Team Ad Agency. I am lead copywriter, in charge of hiring new copywriters for the agency.

Lola Caetano: District Curriculum Planner

I am the language arts curriculum planner for the Hibbingo School District. I have worked in the district for almost 15 years as writing tutor, teacher, and now curriculum planner.
