Holly Gol lightly

I have been an English teacher for twleve years in this district, and all of my children have gone through this district. I am very well known by all of the parents, teachers and administrators in this district and beyond. I have been on the board for twelve years, and people always follow my lead.

I understand that FTP is a touchy issue right now, but I believe that it is an important tool for students to get into creative writing. As long as we, as teachers, emphasize that it is not the only way to write, we should be fine.

Ms. Go Lightly,

It is good to talk to you again. I just want to emphasize how important it is to me that Adam learn the struture and organization that the FPT provides so well. Adam is a very bright child, gifted really, but he needs more guidance and structure, not less. He needs to learn to walk before he can run, and the FPT is a good challenge at his level, instead of some large, open, intimidating mulitgenre work.

Thank you for your time,

GVS
