How do you think that students are going to learn organization without structure? Especially struggling readers?

In order to promote creativity, it is important to have a solid base in the art. And I believe that writing is an art and FPE is the most base level of it.

What do you think of the process of writing?

Yes, I turned out very well, thank you... just ask my husband. My son has learned the 5-paragraph essay, but finds that it is not the most effective way of expressing what he knows. Other students simply need to learn more effective ways of expressing themselves.

I would like to say that you sound like an idiot.

Oops. I apologize for my previous comment. You asked if I thought my son would be able to excel on standardized tests. Yes, I think he will because he as learned the 5-paragraph essay format, though he certainly prefers not to use it. The standardized tests pose no threat because he has had much practice expressing his knowledge of various subjects in various ways.
Thank you for your interest.
