I began my school search based on some criteria: big schools with good reputations. This narrowed my choices to mainly Big 10 schools since I live in the Midwest. I looked at UW Madison, University of Illinois, and the University of Minnesota. I wasn't too excited about going to Illinois, which was located an hour away from my home; I wanted to expand. This left Wisconsin and Minnesota, and after spinning my M/W to see what it landed on, it didn't matter because I had subconsciously decided Minnesota much earlier because of how much opportunity exists in Minneapolis.
