i stumbled upon this link on the ISO:50 blog and i think it provides some very good answers to the common question: how do i put fonts together and make them look good?
March 2010 Archives
this is kind of off topic but i had to post this where other people could appreciate it... so over break i watched the movie zombieland for the first time. it was a pretty funny movie (aside from the blood and guts) but i was just in awe of the typography. the way they integrated it throughout the whole film just made me like the movie even more. here is a vid of the intro, it's just a taste of the amazingness. just be warned that there is gore in the 2 clips i posted...
Zombieland Intro
"The Rules"
i decided through my mood board and talking to other people in the class that i need to focus my project on one thing. i am doing these posters to promote baseX hostels. one idea that i want to pursue, is having a series of 3 or 4 posters to be read while going up or down and escalator, and having the gondola track follow the same angle. i want to mimic the flatness of the historical period posters and keep the colors subdued.
