Color can make or break a piece of design or a piece of art.
It's important to know what kinds of color schemes fit with certain themes.
You don't put a red and green color scheme on a Hanukkah fund raiser poster.
Obviously that's an extreme case, but it just shows how crucial it is to get the right fit with a color scheme.
With a lot of projects, you can use a neutral color or a color scheme that doesn't have any up front meanings.
It's important to avoid cheesy color schemes otherwise it's hard to be taken seriously as a designer.
After the reading I realized it's good to keep the classic color schemes in mind. Split Complementary and Analogous color schemes can be very effective if used properly.
