The Japanese Studies Fellowship Program is currently recruiting fellows for 2013-2014 program. This program gives scholars, researchers, and professionals the opportunity to conduct research in Japan. All research and doctoral projects should be substantially related to Japan in humanities, social sciences, and/or comparative research. (Applications from the social science fields are highly welcomed.)

Research Fellowship (Long-Term) (2-12 months)
Research Fellowship (Short-Term) (21-59 days)
Doctoral Fellowship (4-12 months)
Benefits
Airfare, insurance, settling-in and departure allowance, monthly stipend, dependent allowance, enrollment fees, research allowance, per diem allowance (Varies depending on the categories)
Term
Fellowship should begin between May 20, 2013 and March 15, 2014.
