Director Eve Browning and 19 students braved the freezing waters of the St Louis River on Sunday, May 11th for the Stressbuster Whitewater Rafting trip. Wet suits were required! The section of the river rapids known as "Little Kahuna" proved a little too much for Eve and several raftmates however everyone survived. And for a few minutes no one was concerned about their exams.

This great conference included many student and faculty presentations, a special performance of the play "Anonymous" (based on Homer's Odyssey), several nice meals and much good fellowship. Students presenting were: Jenna Carlson, Stephanie Hooker, Jeff Dezelske, Lauren Peterson, and Angela Adolphs. Faculty attending were Professors David Beard, Eve Browning, and David Cole.

We made some great connections and were able to spread the word about our new Honors student journal, AISTHESIS, and distribute the call for papers.

R.I.P.: The poor turkey who tried his best to get admitted to the UMD Honors program via the van windshield, somewhere around Bloomer.
