Jan 3 2013 SC Hay Auction.pdf ... A list of all tested hay lots and bedding materials sold... grouped by kind of hay, bale type, RFV in 25 point groups for alfalfa and by protein for grass.. cost per pound of dry matter and cost per RFV point are calculated.
History of Selected Lots 2012 2013.pdf ... Average and range of RFV values and prices for Medium Square Alfalfa in 25 RFV groups from 101-200 RFV. This include average for each of the last 4 years and for each auction so far this year. Medium Square Straw is also listed.

Minnesota Milk Producers Dairy Management Workshops Feb 5 at St. Joseph; Feb 6 at Rochester.
The Central Mn Winter Forage Workshop will be held on Wednesday Feb 6 at the River Station (old Richmond Coliseum) in Richmond. A similar workshop will be held at Floodwood in NE MN on Feb 5 and in Rochester on Feb 7. The featured speaker is Bruce Anderson, University of Nebraska. Topics will include Foliar fungicides for alfalfa, Benefits of alfalfa in crop rotations and soil health, nitrogen credits from alfalfa for 1st and 2nd year corn, Roundup Ready alfalfa considerations, Crop insurance highlights for pasture and hay crops.

The MFA Wisconsin Forage Symposium will be held January 21-22-23 at Wisconsin Dells. Check www.midwestforage.org. This is a joint conference with the custom manure applicators and custom farm equipment operators.
The 2013 Private Pesticide Applicator's renewal workshops are schedule and start now the last half of January at various locations around Minnesota. Check for more information at www.pat.umn.edu.
