Offered by Cornell University:
Organic Gardening Online Class
January 10th- March 4th, 2012
Course contact:
Marguerite Wells
mw38@cornell.edu
The course covers one topic during each of the 8 weeks, including vegetables, fruits, flowers and ornamentals, and lawns. With a strong foundation in soil health and its impact on plant health, students then explore tried-and-true and cutting-edge techniques for all different kinds of garden plants - annuals and perennials, food plants and ornamentals.
The class is entirely online - students do not meet in person. Students log in at their convenience and participate in daily discussion boards, quizzes, readings, and some activities to do at home. This course is non-credit only, and takes between 1 and 4 hours a week according to individual's interest, experience, and availability.
UMN Extension Master Gardeners may count actual hours spent learning in this class toward continuing education hours.
