Roaches infest a New York Greyhound bus

Riders of a New York Greyhound were shocked Friday when they realized cockroaches had infested their bus, International Business Times said.

After about 15 minutes following the bus's departure from Atlantic City, passengers began to notice roaches crawling on the floor, across the seats, and falling from the ceiling, CNN said. Upon realizing the panic that was spreading throughout the bus, the driver immediately pulled the Greyhound over to the side of the road to evacuate the bus, International Business Times said.

Greyhound sent a second bus to pick up the passengers and complete the trip. Passengers received a refund for their ticket as well as a voucher for a free ride, CNN said.

It is not clear how the roaches got on the bus or how the company plans on removing the pests, International Business Times said.

Greyhound officials say they are continuing to do a complete investigation of the matter and apologize for any inconvenience, CNN said.
