Search held for missing St. Paul woman

Searches were held in the woods of two area parks over the weekend to look for missing St. Paul woman Kira Trevino, KARE 11 said.

Friends, family and volunteers combed the grounds of Spring Lake Regional Park in Rosemount Saturday and Lilydale Park Sunday in hopes of finding clues as to where Trevino's body might be, as she is now presumed dead, WCCO reported.

Although neither search uncovered any evidence, St. Paul Police Sergeant Paul Paulos said they appreciate the help, WCCO said. "The more eyes, and the more people we get out there, it's just so beneficial to this situation," Paulos said

Trevino has been missing since February 24th, and was last seen leaving the Mall of America where she worked as the manager of a clothing store.

Kira Trevino's husband, Jeffrey Trevino, has been charged with her murder and remains in jail, KARE 11 said.
