24. The End
I did it!!
I did it!!
I explored Metacafe. It's a good place to visit if you need to laugh. There is junk too. I thought the home page was crowded but it was easy to move around. The library could submit a video of a virtual tour of the library and perhaps reference instruction.
I'm not one to be satisfied with my first choice of color for background or font. So I switched to many different colors in a matter of seconds. To my surprise the colors were not changing. It took a little time to figure out how to make the changes. It wasn't as fast as Word.
No need to blog about it.
I found that both PB Wiki and Zoho were very easy to use. I prefer to use Zoho. It's so easy that there is no reason not to have a Wiki!
The U of M Wikis are useful for disseminating information to the entire university community. I like the fact that they can be used for meeting notes and minutes which all participates have access. In general, I like and dislike that anyone can contribute.
I think libraries could post their policies and procedures. Documents such as these are most likely to change with many staff contributing to revised versions.
In the "To more powerful ways to cooperate" piece I was excited to read about the leadership that OCLC is taking on. They seem to be right on, my opinion, by leading in areas where libraries need help or have asked for assistance. One area is the OpenURL Registry and Gateway and another is the Open World Cat project. It's exciting to read about the advances being made.
I found this comment to be the most interesting "Library 4.0 will not replace Libraries 1.0 through 3.0; it will absorb them." in the "To a temporary place in time" article. Regardless of how we feel as individuals the fact remains that libraries are changing. Change is good!
Technorati is a huge collection of blog data. There is a smaller results list searching by tagging system than the blog posts. Once again I discovered lots of information too little time.
It's good enough to eat! So much information so little time.
Not very useful for me. When I'm looking for something "G" works best. After I created a search roll I could not figure out how to use it and I was unwilling to spend more time on it.

Very easy and fast to set up an account and add books.

It was fun to play with snowflake building. However, I was unable to copy my snowflake in to my blog.

Technology is an amazing art form. I only wish there was more time at work and home to spend exploring.
