Ah, the snow is melting and spring is in the air.
It's a good time to reflect on my adventure in this Online Learning Communities class. As Aaron mentioned last week, maybe our time online is not a good medium for our class. We do have great dialogue in class and maybe asychronous discussions are not as exciting. They aren't to me. With online protocol there is no real sponteneity, no visual cues of course and less tension.
I do think that online learning communities are possible in an extended class or in a class that meets daily. It can be part of a class or something separate, something ongoing. Task based communities have an ending and maybe people are not willing or able to emotionally commit.
Then again, are communities necessary. Maybe it does go back to Flow, but how do all participants experience Flow? More questions...Posted by ekeg0005 at March 14, 2007 9:22 PM
