Recent talk has been pointing to a new location for the Viking's stadium. The new Linden Ave. site adjacent to I-394 is a good location but, raises some concern because the Basilica is on the opposite side of the highway. Mark Dayton says that the previous favorite, the Arden Hills site just, "Wasn't financially viable." For that site to work out the Vikings would have to donate $700 million dollars, and that just wasn't going to happen. The new Linden Ave. site is closer to home and makes more financial sense. However, if worse comes to worst, The current Metrodome site remains as a safety net, should all other sites fail.
