News Summary- Documentary 2.20.12

I thought the film had many points that were relevant to maybe not our class, but to the working community which we will soon be launched into. The New York Times, as the video stated and showed, has vast impact on our nation. Newspapers are one of the oldest forms of communication of what is going on the area locally and around the world. When the Times hit a turn for the worse, jobs were cut which affected the American working class as well as the success of the business. But realizing this and then taking initiative after seeing there decline, they acted (policy) to better there business and intertwine themselves into the ever so popular social network that our lives revolve around today. Even though an argument made towards the Times was the unreliability of the reporters which brought me back to the conclusion that even though newspapers are a very old-school type of news source, they are still bias and go for the story that bites rather than what is factual.
