This article touches on the recent London Conference and their recent discussion of the ongoing conflict in Somalia. World leaders and international human rights activists came together and came to a few different conclusions. On one end of the spectrum leaders of countries outside of Somalia agreed that the biggest issue that needs to be fixed is to oust al-Shabab militants, a branch of al-Qaida. However, a spokesperson for Voice 4 Somalia disagrees with this sentiment, saying that leaders are too focused on their own needs rather than what the country needs. Regardless, each side came out of the meetings feeling good and optimistic about a change for the better in the war torn country.
