The cost of textbooks has always been rising, according to a graphic provided by the author. For the advantage of cutting book cost, some courses in college offer eTexts for their students. Although money can be greatly saved, there are also critics towards eTexts. Lots of students admit they feel distracted in front of their laptops. Besides, it is very inconvenient for students to mark main points and take notes. And students with disabilities may fail to use digital textbooks.
The author views e-Texts from different aspects, pros and cons. This article also includes two graphics to show rising cost of textbooks and student perspectives on textbooks, which can been considered as a logos proof. Although the writer interviews several college student, she does't state her personal view.
