Texas: Judge Won't Block Abortion Restrictions

This article I found on abortion was really interesting to me. I talks about how a federal judge will not attempt to block a Texas law requiring women to have a sonogram before having an abortion. Parts of the law was previously ruled unconstitutional, but a federal appeals court overturned it. The law required 'doctors to show women images of their sonograms, to play fetal heartbeats aloud and describe the features of a fetus at least 24 hours before an abortion'.

I feel the whole article was a value claim. It struggled with deciding what was moral and correct. Texas Gov Rick Perry, is anti-abortion and makes it very clear and known about his stance. I believe this article is a value claim in total is because it questions if the law is moral and correct. Should women going through the abortion process be forced to see the fetus, and hear the heartbeat. Some women use abortion because they feel it is their last and only resort, and the Center for Reproductive Rights says they will continue to fight the law and pursue appeals to block the law.
