A prima ballerina of Russia's Bolshoi Ballet extended her leave from the theater and will currently be living in Canada after receiving threatening messages.
Svetlana Lunkina moved from her home in Moscow after a feud between her husband and his former business partner, Vladimir Vinokur, over a failed artistic project, reported cbcnews.
Lunkina has been the recipient of threatening calls and letters from Vinokur. Her Facebook was hacked, and defamatory letters were sent to multiple other ballet companies, according to the Vancouver Sun.
Svetlana Lunkina announced her decision to stay longer in Canada two weeks after an acid attack on the Bolshoi's artistic director, Sergei Filin, which left him with third-degree burns and the possibility that he would loose his sight, reported cbcnews.
